POST-RESETTLEMENT SURVEY FOR THANG LONG IP III (2018) AND ADVISORY SERVICES ON SOCIAL CONSIDERATION FOR THANG LONG IP II (2022).

The survey conducted in Thang Long IP III in Vinh Phuc province in 2018 is to determine whether the affected people have a better life compared with the pre-project situation. NKV gathered information on opinions of all stakeholders involved in the project about resettlement and compensation and proposed recommendations for any issues identified. The survey composes the followings works: (1) Collect and review document relating to land acquisition and resettlement of the project of Binh Xuyen district PC, (2) Collect information of the affected communes and villiges; (3) Interview the affected people, and (4) Reporting. NKV also rendered the advisory services on social consideration in 2022 in Thang Long IP II in Hung Yen province.

The main objective of the study is to review land acquisition and resettlement and necessary requirement steps in the latest regulations in Vietnam, as well as to check international standards for references (JBIC and IFC guidelines on social consideration). Then, NKV proposed recommendations and advisory notes for finalization of land acquisition, resettlement and livelihood restoration plans.
