The objective of the project is to expand the sewerage and drainage system in Ha Long City for the improvement of the urban water environment of Ha Long Bay. The Project is designed to apply a new modern PTF technology of Japan for WWTPs and will comprise the following components: Construction of Ha Khau and Ha Phong WWTPs, including sludge treatment facilities; Expansion of Ha Khanh WWTP; Construction of manhole-type pumping stations; Construction of sewage collection system including interceptors, maintenance holes, diversion chambers, and household connections; Construction of drainage pipe and culvert including roadside gutter; Dredging of existing drainage facilities; Construction of barrier and its management road.
