Ca Pass Tunnel project was the first large-scale tunnel construction project using the BOT scheme in Vietnam. The Ca pass tunnel construction project has a total length of 13.9 km, including 4.12 km of the Ca pass tunnel, 0.5 km of the Co Ma tunnel, and 9.3 km of the approach road.
The Ca Pass Tunnel comprises two tubes, each 9.75 m wide and 30 m apart. The ancillary facilities include the 01 Traffic Management Center (TMC), 01 Rescue Center, 01 Toll Plaza, 02 Rest Areas (North & South), and 01 Maintenance Area. NKV suggested the tunnel’s alignment and reducing the lining’s thickness to maximise the effectiveness of the total investment.
