DATA COLLECTION SURVEY ON DEVELOPMENT OF THE LIEN CHIEU PORT IN DA NANG CITY, VIETNAM

This project is one of three deep-water seaports of Viet Nam, designed as a specialized port with the capacity to receive cargo ships of up to 100,000 DWT and container ships with loading capacities from 6,000 to 8,000 TEUs. This study aims to confirm the feasibility of Lien Chieu Port development by reviewing investment policy, the surrounding area’s development plan, the city master plan, and information updates of project cost. Additionally, this study intends to propose an appropriate public/private, port operation/management body, the development plan for the surrounding area, and adequate connectivity of the road and railway with the port.
